Help & FAQ

Answers for the requests that need a human review, including a sensitive sealed part, account deletion, or a security concern.

1. How to contact support

Email [email protected]. Support accepts messages in English or Turkish and will normally reply in the language you use. If a request needs identity or rights verification, we will ask only for the additional information needed to assess that request.

2. Can a sealed part be changed or removed?

A sealed part is normally immutable: it cannot be edited or deleted through the ordinary product controls. Review your draft before sealing it. This rule protects the dated history of a paper and remains the default even when a part contains a typo or something you later wish you had written differently.

If you control the room and the paper is currently visible with sensitive or another person's information, first change the whole paper to Only me or move the whole paper to Trash. Once that change succeeds, it blocks ordinary access to the paper through RoomBoxPaper; it does not delete one sealed part, recall copies made outside RoomBoxPaper, or prove that a shared media item has been removed from every other place that uses it. If you do not control the room, contact support immediately with the exact URL and do not copy the sensitive material into the email.

Support can review a narrowly scoped request to remove one sealed part only in exceptional circumstances involving sensitive personal data, another person's personal data, copyright, or a legal request. Sending a request does not automatically remove the part. We may need to verify the requester, their authority, and the precise scope before deciding what action is appropriate.

If the request concerns an uploaded image, audio, video, or other media item itself, tell support whether the same item appears elsewhere. Removing one part may not remove a shared media item from every other place that still uses it. An asset-wide request therefore requires a separate review of all occurrences; support will not close it merely by removing one part.

3. What to send for an exceptional part-removal review

Send one email containing:

  • the email address used for your RoomBoxPaper account, if you have one, or an address where support can reply;
  • the affected room username, including the @ sign;
  • the exact paper URL;
  • the part's displayed date and its anchor or direct link, if one is available; and
  • a brief reason: sensitive personal data, another person's personal data, copyright, or another legal request.

Give enough information to identify the part and understand the request, but do not repeat the sensitive material in your email when the URL already identifies it. Never send your password, sign-in code, session link, payment information, or a full identity document. Copyright or legal requests should identify the relevant work, right, or authority without including unrelated personal data. If more evidence is genuinely necessary, support will explain what is needed.

If removal is approved, it may be permanent and may leave links or layers that referred to the part unavailable. The exceptional process does not turn sealed writing into editable writing.

4. How to request account deletion

In your own room, open Settings → Account → Delete account and follow the confirmation steps. This self-service control is the normal way to request deletion of your entire RoomBoxPaper account and room. If the control is temporarily unavailable while its safety controls are being activated, use the support route below.

If you cannot reach that control or need exceptional assistance, email [email protected] from the address used for your account and include your room username. We may verify control of the account before helping. Do not send your password or an authentication code.

An email does not by itself schedule deletion. Support will record and verify the request, tell you whether it has been safely scheduled or is awaiting the protected deletion process, and explain the next step. Support will not bypass the deletion safeguards or directly edit deletion records.

Account deletion is different from the exceptional removal of one sealed part: it concerns the account and its room as a whole. How deletion and limited backup retention are handled is described in the Privacy Policy.

5. How to report a security issue

Send a message to [email protected] with “Security report” in the subject. Describe what you observed, when it happened, the affected URL or feature, and safe steps that reproduce it. You may include a screenshot after covering personal data, tokens, and private content.

Do not include passwords, session cookies, sign-in links, API keys, or another person's private data. Do not access, change, download, or publish data that is not yours while investigating a concern. We may ask a focused follow-up question so the report can be verified safely.
